Matt. 17:1-13, 14:22-33, 8:23–27; Mark 5:1-17; Matt. 19:13-15; John 11:1-44, 13:21-25; Luke 22:14-23:49; John 20:1-29 | CCLI # 7159496 Verse 1 I saw his face shine like the sun, On the mountainside Elijah and Moses were there, Pale in his glorious light And a voice came like thunder And I trembled all over Said “This, my beloved child.” Who is this Jesus, but the Son of God? Verse 2 I saw him walk on the waves, I saw him still the storm I saw the demons afraid, But the children safe in his arms He said Lazarus rise up Wake from your sleep And his dead heart started to beat! Who is this Jesus, but the Son of God? Verse 3 I leaned my head, back on his chest, For he was my friend He poured the wine, he broke the bread, It was near the end I saw them take him Beat him, try to break him And hang him on the cross They laughed, they mocked him He said “God, forgive them It’s finished, now it is done!” The sky black as ink The earth shook with grief As he breathed his last and was gone Who is this Jesus? Who is this Jesus? Who is this Jesus, but the Son of God? Who is this Jesus, but the Son of God? Verse 4 I saw the stone rolled away I saw his empty tomb I saw the scars in his hands There in the upper room

about

In 9 songs, A King & His Kindness zooms in on the humanity and compassionate heart of Jesus. Produced by Isaac Wardell (Josh Garells, Sandra McCracken) and featuring Tyler Chester (Madi Cunningham, Switchfoot), gospel trio Resound (Lauren Daigle), Taylor Leonhardt (Mission House), and Sean Carter (People & Songs), the album is rich with biblical imagery, intimate arrangements, and poignant lyrics to help you experience Jesus up-close, remembering and responding to his life through storytelling and song.

A King & His Kindness is the fourth in an anthology of albums that tell the Story, building on Caroline’s previous full-length projects A Seed, A Sunrise (2019) a Home & a Hunger (2017) and the Blood + the Breath (2013), all of which trace a biblical theme from creation to Christ’s return, with each song parachuting into a different biblical scene.
