From James 1:19; 2:2-12; 4:7-10.

This song hit home for me because I tend to have a temper when things don't go my way, and I hate it. I meditate often on James 1:19, where it says we should be slow to anger, slow to speak, and quick to listen. Like most, I have trouble taming my tongue - and out of the same mouth I bless God and then turn and curse those made in his image.

The book of James is extremely convicting for me and would even make me despair of my sin if it weren't for James 4:8. It says that if I draw near to God, He will draw near to me. This is a great promise, as I need him so.
