From 1 Corinthians 15. The idea for this song came when our pastor preached on this passage on Easter Sunday. If Jesus had not risen from the dead, the Christian faith would be completely pathetic. But if he LIVES... then, death will die, sin is no longer a tyrant in our lives, and we too can trust the promise that when he returns, we will be changed - though we are dying, we will then dress in deathless life!

Government-run churches in China are not allowed to preach about the resurrection. Maybe part of the reason why is because this truth brings RADICAL HOPE and makes Christians do crazy things (not bad crazy, but crazy). I want this hope to sieze me like it did Paul, who wrote this passage.
