about

From Micah 7:18-20, 5:2-4.

In the book of Micah, God promises to send judgment against his people for their unfaithfulness. Yet, throughout the book there is a mention of the forgiveness and restoration of a remnant of God's people. Because of His character - His steadfast love, His faithfulness to His promises - God will again have compassion on his people. And specifically, this compassion will come through a ruler from Bethlehem - Jesus Christ.

lyrics

Who is like you God
Pardoning our sin
Who is like you God
Passing o’er transgression

In your love steadfast
Oh in this you delight
You will not keep wrath
Forever

Again, you will have compassion again
You will trample all our sin
Beneath your feet

Again, you will have compassion again
You will cast away our sin
To the depth of the sea

For from Bethlehem
Small in Judah’s eyes
Comes a ruler strong
Ancient and wise

He the remnant saves
The heritage of God
And in his strength
He will shepherd of his flock

O God of Jacob
O God of Abraham
Showing steadfast love
To them

For your promise is sure
From the days of old
And your love endures
Forever
